Description
Frontend-focused full-stack engineer for Delta’s global digital platforms (corporate website, employee learning — all serving Delta’s global users). Primary stack: Next.js + TypeScript. Backend is Java/Spring — reading and reviewing is part of the job; AI-assisted development is optional and welcomed.
【Key Responsibilities】
1. Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript across the team’s product portfolio.
2. Develop reusable UI components with Storybook, contributing to a shared design system.
3. Implement i18n / l10n for multi-region deployment and optimize web performance (Core Web Vitals, SSR/ISR strategies).
4. Read and review Java/Spring backend code to debug cross-stack issues; design and consume RESTful APIs.
5. Implement frontend authentication flows (JWT, OAuth, SSO).
6. (Optional, Welcomed) Actively develop Java/Spring backend code with AI assistance — open to engineers with capability and interest.
7. Deploy services on Kubernetes; support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based workflows.
8. Participate in production incident response — read logs, triage issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
9. Participate in code reviews; collaborate with QA, designers, and PMs; mentor junior team members as you grow.
【Must-Have Skills】
1. Frontend: 3+ years professional experience with React; production experience with Next.js — familiarity with both App Router and Pages Router, plus SSR/ISR strategies.
2. TypeScript: Strong proficiency — generics, utility types, modeling complex domain logic.
3. Backend Foundation: Has built at least one backend service in any language (Node.js, Python, Go, Java, etc.) and can discuss the design decisions. Comfortable with RESTful API design and at least one relational database.
4. Version Control: Proficient in Git for collaborative development and branching workflows.
5. Containers & Orchestration: Working knowledge of Docker (writing Dockerfiles, debugging containers) and basic Kubernetes (reading yaml, running kubectl).
6. Linux: Comfortable on the command line for development and troubleshooting.
7. AI Fluency: Daily use of AI tooling (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Cursor) as a force multiplier — including for developing in unfamiliar languages and exploring unfamiliar codebases.
8. Communication: Clear in Traditional Chinese for daily work; functional English for documentation and async collaboration with global team members.
