Summary
Administers non-injectable medications in long-term care facilities under nurse supervision, following physician-approved plans during second-shift hours.
Qualified Medication Aides (QMA) in the state of Indiana are permitted to administer non-parenteral medications in long-term care facilities in accordance with a physician’s plan of treatment and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. QMAs are not allowed to do invasive procedures and assessing. The QMA is expected to follow the instructions issued by the physician or licensed nurse according to established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
16 hours per week - Second Shift
3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Every Other Weekend
Valid QMA in State of Indiana
BLS/CPR Certification
