Position Summary:

The QSA Service Technician performs skilled maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and related systems. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and computerized components to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. The employee exercises independent judgment in diagnosing equipment issues, maintains service records, and follows all applicable safety regulations and procedures.

Essential job functions:

  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Diagnose, service, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and computerized systems on heavy equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, high-pressure pumps, bulldozers, graders, crawler tractors, trailers, and backhoes.
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance, including inspecting, servicing, adjusting, repairing, and replacing fluid systems, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, clutches, filters, lubrication systems, cooling systems, and related components.
  • Repair and service undercarriage, drive train, braking, steering, transmission, hydraulic, and air system components, including track drive sprockets, rails, idler wheels, final drives, steering clutches, hydrostatic transmissions, pumps, valves, compressors, air dryers, brake valves, cylinders, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical and electronic components, including batteries, wiring, lights, instruments, warning devices, switches, control modules, alternators, starters, and related systems.
  • Perform inspections and operational testing to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and operating efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance records, work orders, and material cost estimates.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in safe working condition.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing and qualify under the Quapaw Nation Motor Vehicle Policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
