About This Job:

On behalf of our client manufacturing sector, we are looking for a skilled and competent ETP In charge to work on site.

Reports To: General Manager Operations

Department: Engineering

Location: Mbarara

Role Summary

Responsible for managing the daily operations of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and ensuring efficient and compliant treatment of wastewater and effluent. Oversees the operation and maintenance of ETP equipment, ensures compliance with environmental regulations, and implement best practices for wastewater management.

Key duties and responsibilities

· Collaborate with production teams to minimize wastewater generation and implement waste reduction initiatives.

· Supervise ETP operators and maintenance personnel, providing training and guidance as needed

· Monitor and control ETP processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and permits.

· Build a team that reflects ETPs values of support excellence, personal growth, and teamwork

· Inventory monitoring and maintenance of chemicals, spares etc.

· Continuous monitoring and measuring of wastewater inlet parameter and processing on

· wastewater for obtaining desirable output (Environment friendly).

· Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and environmental standards.

· Operation and maintenance of pumps, blowers, ozonator, filters, valves etc.

· Transfer Knowledge to your subordinates

Requirements

Internal Relationships: Production, EHS, Logistics, Stores, HR

Required Experience and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in ETP operations, preferably in the dairy industry
