we are looking for a competent and experienced Territory Execution Manager.

Job Purpose:
The Territory
Execution Manager is responsible for implementing the sales strategies within
distributors territories and oversees all territory sales activities to ensure
market development and sales Target achievement.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Outputs/Activities per key
performance area:
Distributor Management (DOSA)
- Daily
tracking and review of the distributor sales performance.
- Managing
the Market Developers, Route Sales Supervisor and Account Developer.
- Oversee
the Distributor Operations Standards.
- Manage
Distributor sales teams to ensure set targets are achieved.
- Conduct
route accompaniments to coach the sales teams on their key deliverables.
- Conduct
daily Distributor sales clinic and guide on best practices to achieve sales
objectives.
- Support
in the hiring or recruitment of the Distributor sales staff.
- Delivery
of training to existing as well as new sales staff in the area of product
knowledge, selling skills, role play, amongst others.
- Take
part in the distributor stock taking process.
• Monitor
and evaluate the performance of secondary sales to ensure targets are met.
• Identify
sales opportunities for growth and market development.
• Implement
developed action plans to optimize the sales force and boost revenue.
• Drive
monthly secondary sales target achievement on volume and value.
• Drive
secondary sales through SFA (Sales Force Automation) and ensure full
utilization of the system.
• Forecast
distributor territory sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models,
and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Ensure
daily tracking and review of the secondary sales.
• Manage
and measure sales force effectiveness, including route completion, and route
productivity.
Market Execution through the Right Things
• Drive
trade hygiene with a focus on visibility, merchandising, and stock rotation to
curb expiries.
• Manage
and drive profitable route configuration while enforcing disciplined coverage.
• Develop
and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to grow sales and
expand market penetration, particularly within all sales channels.
• Ensure
the execution of the planned calls - outlet visiting and merchandising.
• Ensure
outlet surveys are done to ascertain the universe and active outlets for
business opportunities.
• Monthly
outlet creation according to set targets.
Team Management and Development
- Lead,
coach, and develop the Route Sales Supervisors to drive high performance and
meet the territorial business objectives.
- Facilitate
regular team meetings with the Route Sales Supervisors to communicate sales
goals, review performance, and align on action plans.
- Provide
continuous coaching and training to enhance the skills and competencies of the
sales team.
Drive Channel Development & Growth
- Identify
and pursue new channel opportunities to expand market penetration.
- Support
marketing in executing channel development strategies through building strong
relationships with external trade partners and customers.
- Ensure
all channels are fully engaged and contribute to overall sales growth.
Financial Management
• Support
the Distributor in trade credit management.
Risk Management
• Identify
potential risk to sales in assigned territories and escalate for mitigation.
Compliance
• Ensure
regulatory compliance in execution of duties in the country.

• Prepare
and submit monthly reports.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Frequency
of travel: Occasional travel is required for meetings, trainings and
conferences; location may vary and may require overnight stays.

Requirements
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Minimum
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a
Business-related field of study from a recognized university.
Related
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of (3) years’ relevant work
experience in FMCG sales and distribution setting
