Quality and Risk Manager

The Quality/Risk Manager leads the development of the enterprise quality strategy and infrastructure for value accountability at Sharon Regional Medical Center (SRMC). Provides strategic guidance and operational oversight of performance improvement, regulatory survey rediness, medical staff support services, clinical informatics, and Case Management across the continuum of care.

Job Duties:

  • Leads the development and implementation of an enterprise quality strategy that positions the organizations for value accountability.

  • Expands the health system's capacity for continuous performance improvement in the areas of service excellency, quality/safety, resource stewardship, growth, and best people.

  • Collaborates with SRMC leadership in establishing and operating a quality program that integrates and aligns physician practices with the overall SRMC quality strategy.

  • Enhances the safety of daily operations by implementing high reliability organization tactics and other emerging best practices across the systems

  • Oversees operations of Medical Staff Support Services including medical staff credentialing and appointment procedures

  • Promotes continous regulatory service readiness and compliance with clinical and operational standards including those established by TJC and DOH

  • Facilitates compliance and continous improvement in mandatory reporting elements including Inpatient and Outpatient Quality Reporting programs, Core Measures, HCAHPS, and measures mandated by TJC and DOH

  • Provides strategic guidance and operational oversight to system Case Management programs including the Primary Care Resource Center

  • Performs standard senior management functions of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling health system operations at SRMC.

  1. Education: Master’s Degree, required

  1. Experience: At least five (5) years experience in health care leadership and operations, required

  1. Certification/Licensure: PA RN License, required.

  1. Clearances: Required: Background Clearances (as required by law)
