Quality Assurance Analyst
Role OverviewMA Money is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst / Engineer to join the Technology team and help deliver quality change across the business.You’ll work across a mix of small to large changes, including BAU fixes, enhancements, system changes, integrations, lending platform updates, Salesforce-related changes, and larger project initiatives. You’ll work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, Operations teams, and business stakeholders to make sure changes are understood, tested properly, and ready to release.This role would suit someone who likes getting into the detail, understanding how things work end to end, and asking the questions that help uncover gaps before they become issues. A big part of the role is understanding how MA Money’s systems, processes, people, and data hang together, particularly across the lending lifecycle and the teams that support it.Key ResponsibilitiesTesting and Quality AssurancePlan, design, and execute testing for small to large technology changes.Review requirements, user stories, solution designs, and acceptance criteria to understand what needs to be tested and where the key impacts may be.Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test evidence.Perform functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, end-to-end, and post-release verification testing.Validate changes across applications, workflows, data flows, APIs, integrations, reporting, Salesforce, lending platforms, and operational processes.Identify, document, prioritise, retest, and track defects through to resolution.Focus testing effort where it matters most, including areas with higher business, customer, operational, regulatory, or technology impact.Provide a clear view on quality, risks, and readiness before changes are shipped or deployed.Business Process and System UnderstandingBuild a strong understanding of MA Money’s business areas, including how teams operate, the processes they follow, and the systems they use day to day.Understand the MA Money technology ecosystem and how key systems, platforms, workflows, integrations, reporting, and data flows fit together.Consider upstream and downstream impacts across business areas, systems, customers, brokers, operations, credit, settlements, reporting, and support teams.Identify gaps, dependencies, inconsistencies, or impacts that may not be obvious from a single requirement or technical change.Make sure testing reflects the real end-to-end business process, not just whether an individual ticket or system change works in isolation.Change Delivery SupportSupport a broad range of change, including BAU fixes, enhancements, configuration changes, process improvements, system upgrades, integrations, lending platform changes, regulatory changes, and larger project initiatives.Work with your team to understand scope, dependencies, business impacts, and testing requirements.Manage testing across multiple pieces of work, moving between business areas, systems, and priorities as delivery needs evolve.Support release readiness by confirming test completion, open defects, known risks, and overall quality outcomes.Assist with implementation, post-release checks, and root cause analysis where required.Raise quality concerns, unresolved defects, or release impacts early and clearly.Stakeholder CollaborationWork with Business Analysts to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, business processes, and expected outcomes.Partner with Developers to understand technical changes and make sure the right level of testing is covered.Collaborate with Operations, Credit, Settlements, Finance, Customer Support, and other business teams to support UAT and end-to-end validation.Communicate testing progress, blockers, defects, release impacts, and quality outcomes in a clear and practical way.Provide QA input during planning, delivery, testing, and release discussions.Test Automation and Continuous ImprovementHelp improve QA practices, test documentation, defect management, regression coverage, and release quality processes.Look for practical ways to make testing more efficient, repeatable, and useful.Contribute to regression test packs and reusable testing assets.Support the adoption of test automation where it makes sense.Experience with codeless test automation tools such as Tosca would be highly regarded, as would a willingness to upskill in this area.Help identify automation opportunities across repeatable, high-value, or high-impact testing scenarios.Required Skills and ExperienceExperience in a Quality Assurance, Test Analyst, QA Engineer, or similar technology testing role.Experience testing small to large technology changes, including BAU enhancements and project-based initiatives.Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing lifecycle.Experience preparing and executing test plans, test cases, regression packs, and test evidence.Ability to interpret business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business process flows, and technical specifications.Ability to understand end-to-end business processes and how system changes impact users, operations, customers, and downstream processes.Experience managing defects through to closure.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving.Strong communication skills and confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple pieces of work.Comfortable working in Agile, hybrid, or project delivery environments.Desirable Skills and ExperienceExperience in financial services, lending, mortgages, credit, banking, or fintech.Previous Salesforce experience would be highly regarded.Experience testing loan origination systems, CRM platforms, workflow tools, document generation, customer portals, broker portals, or customer-facing systems.Experience with API testing, system integration testing, data validation, and end-to-end process testing.Familiarity with SQL or database queries for test data preparation and validation.Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, Xray, TestRail, or similar.Experience with codeless test automation tools such as Tosca, or strong interest in developing this capability.Understanding of risk, compliance, privacy, and regulatory considerations in financial services.Experience supporting production releases and post-implementation validation.
