What are we looking for?
The Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager will work to further the organization’s capacity in corporate compliance and quality assurance. This position is responsible for monitoring and reporting results of the compliance and ethics efforts of SJCS and for providing guidance on matters relating to compliance and quality assurance. The Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager will implement all necessary activities to ensure an effective compliance and quality assurance program.
Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:
1. Oversee and manage quality improvement and compliance monitoring activities daily.
2. Develop plans and schedules for major quality and compliance initiatives.
3. Supervise assigned quality and compliance staff.
4. Conduct annual compliance and quality assurance reviews and audits of state subsidiaries.
5. Coordinate and support home office departments with the implementation of reviews and audits of state subsidiaries.
6. Coordinate and support state subsidiaries and home office departments with the operation of state oversight, compliance and quality assurance systems.
7. Coordinate with state subsidiaries and home office departments to remain abreast of, and maintain a library of, relevant federal and state regulations, requirements and standards.
8. Support state subsidiaries and home office departments to establish and maintain a system for assuring timely and proper follow-up on Corrective Action Plans, Quality Improvement Plans and other issues and corrective actions defined through government reviews, audits and accreditation surveys.
9. Support state subsidiaries to establish and maintain a system for assuring staff are in
compliance with training requirements.
10. Support state subsidiaries to establish and maintain a system for assuring that staff credentials are current and on file.
11. Assist with the preparation of quarterly compliance reports to keep the Director of Quality and Compliance informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts, and of compliance and risk management matters.
12. Collaborate with the Director of Quality and Compliance, state and agency leadership, and other Quality and Compliance team members on the development and implementation of agency-wide Quality and Compliance systems and processes, including outcome systems. Develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Quality Assurance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
13. Conduct all annual audits for DC to include Corporate Compliance, Provider Performance Review, Provider Certification Review, and others as assigned.
14. Serve as a back up for incident management coordinator and incident management functions.
15. Develop and coordinate the implementation of an effective compliance training program including appropriate introductory training for new staff as well as ongoing training for all staff members.
16. Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct by supporting and/or conducting investigative procedures.
17. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
