Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Develop, implement and maintain project QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists and quality documentation.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and coordinate inspections with consultants, clients and relevant authorities.
- Ensure all materials and workmanship meet the required quality standards.
- Review and verify material certificates, test reports and inspection records.
- Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, excavation, earthworks, drainage, structural works and other civil construction activities.
- Coordinate and witness site tests such as concrete cube tests, soil compaction tests and other required testing.
- Identify quality issues and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
- Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Site Inspection Requests (SIR) and related quality issues.
- Ensure rectification works are properly completed and verified before closure.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, test reports and quality documentation.
- Maintain project quality files and ensure proper document control.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports where required.
- Assist in preparation of project handover and close-out documents.
- Maintain records of inspections, testing, approvals, NCRs and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors, subcontractors and consultants to resolve quality-related issues.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor subcontractors' workmanship.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with project quality requirements and approved method statements.
- Participate in site meetings, technical discussions and quality meetings.
- Provide technical advice on construction quality and acceptable workmanship.
