Quality Assurance Auditor (Mays Cancer Center)

Summary

Conducts quality assurance audits for a cancer center to ensure compliance with policies and federal regulations, maintains QA databases, and develops corrective/preventive action plans.

Under general supervision, responsible for all aspects of quality assurance audits according to group quality assurance guidelines and federal regulations.
  • Conducts audits to ensure consistency with established policies, procedures and philosophy, and to maintain and improve the quality of care given to patients.
  • Ensures current, accurate information documented in the Quality Assurance database.
  • Reviews audit follow-up responses, creates corrective action/preventative action (CAPA) plans, and develops non-conformance reports (NCR) as necessary.
  • Researches regulatory and quality assurance issues and implements changes as needed.
  • Maintains communication with Administration, Medical Staff and Department.
  • Heads regarding all Quality Assurance activities.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required
  • Ability to develop clear, concise, and timely oral and written reports.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Exercises a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
