Role Summary: QA Compliance Specialist

The Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist at TMI plays a pivotal role in safeguarding consumer

safety, product integrity, and regulatory alignment across all manufacturing and printing operations. Operating

at the intersection of production, R&D, and supply chain, this specialist is responsible for monitoring

compliance with global cosmetic, toy safety, and consumer product regulations (such as FDA, ASTM, and

EN71 standards) governing specialized inks, adhesives, and paper substrates. The role demands rigorous

oversight—from reviewing incoming raw material Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and conducting quality

control testing, to investigating non-conformances and leading Root-Cause Analysis and Corrective and

Preventive Action (CAPA) plans. By authoring and maintaining audit-ready standard operating procedures

(SOPs), driving continuous process improvements, and training production floor personnel on Good

Manufacturing Practices (GMP), the QA Compliance Specialist ensures that TMI consistently upholds its

world-class reputation for safety, quality, and reliability.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist ensures that all cosmetic and medical-grade temporary

tattoos, manufacturing processes, and operational procedures strictly adhere to global safety standards,

cosmetic regulations, and internal quality benchmarks.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety Standards: Monitor and enforce compliance with global cosmetic, toy

safety, and consumer product regulations (such as FDA regulations, EU cosmetic regulations, ASTM, and

EN71 standards) regarding inks, adhesives, and paper substrates used in temporary tattoo manufacturing.

Quality Control & Testing: Oversee routine testing of raw materials, colorants, medical-grade adhesives,

and finished tattoo sheets for skin safety, print clarity, durability, and adhesion. Inspect batches for defects

prior to packaging.

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): Investigate any production non-conformances, ink

formulation discrepancies, or customer quality feedback. Lead root-cause analyses and implement

effective CAPA plans to prevent recurrence.

Documentation & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Author, maintain, and update SOPs, safety

data sheets (SDSs), batch records, and quality manuals. Ensure all compliance documentation is fully

audit-ready.

Supplier & Raw Material Verification: Review Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) for incoming pigments,

backing papers, and transfer films. Audit and vet external raw material suppliers to guarantee consistent

safety and quality inputs.

Staff Training: Train production, warehouse, and packaging personnel on quality control checkpoints,

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety protocols specific to our manufacturing environment.

Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with production, research and development, and operations

teams to optimize manufacturing workflows, reduce waste, and enhance product safety and performance.
