Quality Assurance Engineer
Summary
QA Engineer ensuring semiconductor handler machines meet quality standards through testing, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Perform Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA) testing and inspection of handler machines and related collaterals, including actuation pans, kits etc.
- Develop and maintain test procedures, inspection procedures, work instructions, and control plans to ensure consistent product quality
- Conduct failure analysis on non-conforming products using the 8D problem-solving methodology and prepare Corrective and Preventive Action
- Participate in user group meetings, as well as internal and external quality meetings, to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement
- Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to OQA Technicians on testing and inspection methods, ensuring compliance with established procedures
- Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis for RMA cases and site escalations, and prepare comprehensive failure analysis reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable quality management systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within semiconductor or manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including 8D Problem Solving, Control Plans, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements; Internal Auditor certification or experience is preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
