Quality Assurance Engineer [Aerospace MRO]

Summary

Oversee aerospace MRO quality processes, audit suppliers, and ensure compliance with AS9100 and aviation regulations while driving continuous improvement.

JobResponsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of the standards related to quality assurance along with the quality monitoring processes and procedures for the MRO activities.
  • Continuous improvement and identification of issues in the workshop/maintenance process.
  • Assist in the maintenance / improvement of Safety Management System (SMS) requirements and implementation.
  • Facilitate hazard identification and risk management on company processes.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks identified.
  • Provide reports on the safety performance in the company.
  • Provide and recommend safety trainings to be implemented.
  • Assist in airworthiness authorities and 3rd party audit.
  • Perform Supplier Evaluation and Assessment.
  • Manage Internal and external Non-Conformance process.
  • Manage training, staff approval process and identification of training needs.
  • Lead in process and procedures continuous improvements and business excellence initiatives.
  • Maintain audit records and manage/track/follow-up on associated Corrective Action.
  • Responsible for development and review of root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for non-conformances.
  • Review and generate a general procedure related to MRO activities.
  • Monitor on equipment calibration and review on equipment calibration report.
  • Reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and assist him on all QA/QC activities.


Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
  • 3 years of experience in Aerospace Quality and Auditing, witha minimum of 3 years as a QMS Auditor or Lead Auditor.
  • Familiar with AS9100 and EASA/FAA/CAAS/CAAC Part 145.
  • NADCAP Special Process Auditing experience (e.g. Non-DestructiveTesting, Chemical Processing, Welding) is advantageous.​
  • CAAS Air Legislation Paper.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering and aircraft component repair.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities, and an assertive yet tactful approach.​
  • Able to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time.
  • Able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skill.
