Key job responsibilities
- Validate the Japanese-language customer experience across Alexa voice, mobile, and web, ensuring natural and accurate interactions for Japan-market users
- Develop and execute manual & automated tests and test plans
- Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products
- Finding, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
- Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
- Ensure the highest quality product delivery, working with a team of quality engineering professionals
- Evaluate product functionality and create test strategies and test cases to assess product quality
A day in the life
Your morning might start by reviewing overnight test results for Japanese voice queries on Alexa, triaging bugs, and syncing with engineers in Tokyo. By midday, you could be writing test cases for a new Japanese-language feature, verifying that voice recognition handles natural speech patterns, or checking that translations and locale-specific formatting render correctly across devices. In the afternoon, you'll collaborate with your QA team and developers to reproduce issues, refine test strategies, and advocate for the Japan customer experience. Every day, you're ensuring millions of Japanese-speaking customers enjoy a seamless Amazon Music experience.
