  • Hands-on experience using k6 or similar tools, such as Locust or Gatling, deployed on AWS EC2 or integrated into CI/CD pipelines to generate automated API test traffic.

  • Experience managing performance-test data lifecycles, including generating synthetic test data and using database snapshots for setup and environment resets between test runs.

  • Familiarity with analysing system performance metrics, including latency, response time, P95 and P99 percentiles, throughput, error rates, CPU, memory, network usage and file I/O.

  • Understanding of database performance factors such as indexing, connection pooling and database locks.

  • Experience using tools such as Kibana, the ELK Stack, AWS CloudWatch or Container Insights to analyse performance-test results and diagnose system bottlenecks.
