We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer / Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in functional automation, regression testing and quality engineering processes, with a passion for ensuring the reliability of complex, distributed systems.
What You Will Be Working On
Work closely with a cross-functional Agile team comprising Software Engineers, Product Managers and Designers to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria and ensure end-to-end quality.
Develop, maintain and execute regression test suites in JavaScript or TypeScript using Playwright across React.js frontends and NestJS backends.
Build and integrate automated Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
Manage test environments, containerised testing setups and database states, including data dumps and mock data, for test execution and environment resets.
Collaborate with government agencies to deliver secure, reliable and high-quality software systems.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies, technical-sharing sessions and quality engineering solutioning discussions.
What We Are Looking For
Experience testing large-scale, highly available software systems built with React.js on the frontend and NestJS on the backend.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for developing automated regression test scripts.
Hands-on experience using Playwright for end-to-end web and API regression testing.
Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work with database dumps and mock data for environment setup, data validation and database testing.
Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB.
Hands-on experience with containerised testing and test-environment management using Docker, Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools.
Experience deploying and running test environments on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform. AWS experience is preferred.
Experience using observability, monitoring and log-analysis tools such as the ELK Stack, AWS CloudWatch or Splunk.
Good to Have
Experience designing, developing and executing performance test suites for HTTP APIs, including load, stress, spike and endurance or soak testing.
Hands-on experience using k6 or similar tools, such as Locust or Gatling, deployed on AWS EC2 or integrated into CI/CD pipelines to generate automated API test traffic.
Experience managing performance-test data lifecycles, including generating synthetic test data and using database snapshots for setup and environment resets between test runs.
Familiarity with analysing system performance metrics, including latency, response time, P95 and P99 percentiles, throughput, error rates, CPU, memory, network usage and file I/O.
Understanding of database performance factors such as indexing, connection pooling and database locks.
Experience using tools such as Kibana, the ELK Stack, AWS CloudWatch or Container Insights to analyse performance-test results and diagnose system bottlenecks.
