Te Tūranga – About the role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer – Supply Chain, your focus is ensuring our end‑to‑end grocery supply chain systems work in the real world.

You’ll validate the quality of systems that support distribution centres, warehouse operations (SAP EWM), inventory management, transport, and store replenishment. This role is deeply hands‑on and operational — grounded in how DCs actually run, especially during high‑pressure peak trading periods.

In this role, you will:

Validate real‑world supply chain operations

  • Test end‑to‑end flows across DC inbound/outbound processing, inventory movement, and store replenishment.
  • Validate integrations between EWM/WMS, TMS, ERP, merchandising, and POS systems.

Ensure performance and resilience

  • Contribute to performance and scalability testing, particularly for peak trading.
  • Identify operational risks that could impact distribution centres or stores.

Support quality delivery

  • Support, build, and enhance test automation frameworks, delivering on our automation-first strategy
  • Apply appropriate manual and automated testing approaches to support delivery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with delivery squads to improve quality across design and execution.
  • Log and manage defects clearly, partnering with teams to resolution.

He kōrero mōu - About you

You understand how supply chains actually function — not just how systems are designed. You’re comfortable testing complex operational scenarios and thinking about how technology impacts DC teams, stores, and customers.

You’re a highly skilled SAP / EWM QA professional with deep experience across supply chain and retail processes.

You are comfortable designing and developing automated test scripts, managing complex test data, and driving integration and end-to-end testing within Agile delivery squads.

Your analytical mindset and attention to detail ensure defects are efficiently identified, documented, and resolved, while your strong communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations.
  • Experience testing systems supporting DCs, inventory, fulfilment, or transport.
  • Experience validating complex system integrations.
  • Experience testing SAP Supply Chain systems (WMS/EWM and/or TMS) or related systems (e.g. Manhattan, Blue Yonder), including complex system integrations.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain modules (e.g. EWM, WM, MM, SD).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

It’s a bonus if you also have:

  • Hands‑on exposure to Distribution Centre or warehouse operations and the systems that support them.
  • Experience validating core warehouse flows such as goods receipt, picking, packing, replenishment, and dispatch.
  • Experience testing transport and logistics processes, including order management and transport execution.
  • Exposure to non‑functional testing (e.g. performance or load testing) in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Tricentis TOSCA), Jira, and/or device or hardware testing.
