This is an internship opportunity offering a rewarding and challenging opportunity to learn, grow, and develop through meaningful projects that drive our business. Our comprehensive internship program will allow you to gain hands-on experience and broaden your skills. This is a full-time, paid summer internship, typically ranging from 10-12 weeks, starting in May/June 2027. Throughout your internship, we will provide continuous training and performance feedback to ensure you develop the necessary skills to succeed with the hope of converting successful interns into full-time employees upon graduation.
The Quality Assurance intern will contribute to strategic initiatives that help standardize quality processes, support digital tool deployment, improve operational performance, and strengthen supplier development programs. This role will provide exposure to business leaders across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Service, and Quality functions while developing valuable analytical, project management, and communication skills.
The internship can be located at our Florence Factory in Florence, SC or in West Hartford, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the development of quality and continuous improvement of the Otis Quality Management System (QMS).
· Assist in documenting and standardizing global quality processes, policies, and procedures across Operations and Supplier Quality.
· Conduct research, benchmarking, and data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
· Support quality program management activities, including project tracking, meeting coordination, and action item management.
· Assist in developing communication materials and change management plans to support global QMS initiatives.
· Help gather and analyze stakeholder feedback from business units to support process standardization efforts.
· Support the development and maintenance of quality performance dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Analyze quality and operational performance data and prepare reports and presentations for leadership reviews.
Education Requirements:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
- Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage several simultaneous projects and responsibilities
- Strong analytical skills
The hourly range for this role is $20/hr to $23/hr. We may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
