Quality Assurance Leader
ABOUT THIS JOB
The QA Lead will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the Manual QA and Automation QA/SDET team, ensuring effective testing across functional, API, integration, regression, UI, and end-to-end scenarios. This role will focus on driving test automation, improving testing efficiency and quality metrics, and collaborating closely with Engineering and Product to identify and manage quality risks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- QA Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the Manual QA and Automation QA/SDET team.
- CI/CD Test Automation: Drive automated testing integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Comprehensive Test Coverage: Ensure effective testing across functional, API, integration, regression, UI, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Business Flow Automation: Drive test automation for critical business and integration flows across API and UI.
- Automation Optimization: Improve automation coverage, reliability, maintainability, and execution efficiency.
- QA Metrics & Performance: Monitor and improve QA metrics such as defect leakage, test coverage, automation coverage, and test effectiveness.
- Quality Risk Management: Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product to identify and manage quality risks.
- CI/CD Integration: Drive automated testing integration into CI/CD pipelines.
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Professional Experience: 6+ years of experience in Software QA/Testing, with at least 2 years in a QA Lead, Senior QA, or similar leadership role.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience leading or mentoring Manual QA and Automation QA/SDET engineers.
- Industry Experience: Experience in fintech, payment, transaction processing, B2B, or integration-heavy products is highly preferred.
- Testing Strategy & Methodology: Strong understanding of test strategy, test planning, test case design, regression, integration, API, UI, and risk-based testing.
- Test Automation: Hands-on experience with API and UI test automation.
- Programming Skills: Strong programming experience with Java, JUnit Test Runner, and Cucumber.
- UI Automation Frameworks: Experience building automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver or similar UI automation tools.
- API Testing Tools: Experience with API automation/testing, preferably using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
- Performance Testing: Experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools is a plus.
- Database Validation : Good understanding of SQL and MySQL for data validation.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Experience working with Git/GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
- Test Management Tools: Experience with Jira and Jira AIO or similar test management tools.
- Cloud & Distributed Systems: Familiarity with cloud and distributed systems, particularly GCP, GCP Logs, Cloud Functions, and Google Pub/Sub.
- Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and people-leadership skills.
