Quality Assurance Manager
Summary
Oversee software quality processes, test plans, and defect tracking to ensure compliance and performance across development and deployment.
Applies current quality practices to identify software errors, evaluate quality and efficiency, plan quality-control resources, and monitor performance throughout the lifecycle.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Responsibilities:
- Apply commercial products and procedures for software-error identification and quality evaluation
- Determine resources needed for quality control
- Maintain quality throughout the software and system lifecycle
- Support reporting, tracking, and analysis of performance-based system metrics
- Monitor quality procedures and evaluate system quality and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Years of Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience
- Clearance Requirements: IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive / Tier 3 (T3), required at proposal submission
- Certification Requirements:
- Duty-based. Required before starting work if performing IA functions; exact category is not specified.
- Any other work-related qualifications needed for the role:
- Experience applying commercial products and procedures to identify software errors and evaluate quality and efficiency
Desired/Preferred:
- Experience establishing and monitoring software quality-assurance and quality-control processes.
- Experience supporting quality assurance for AI/ML models, advanced analytics, or cloud-based applications.
- Experience evaluating model performance, data accuracy, application quality, and operational reliability.
- Experience defining and tracking performance-based quality metrics.
- Experience overseeing unit, system, interface, regression, performance, integration, security, accessibility, and user-acceptance testing.
- Experience validating data-source connections, application interfaces, datasets, and system configurations.
- Experience developing or reviewing test plans, test cases, test results, and Requirements Traceability Matrices.
- Experience managing defect tracking, severity classification, corrective actions, and release-readiness decisions.
- Experience supporting verification and validation activities.
- Experience monitoring software quality throughout development, deployment, and sustainment.
- Experience with configuration management, controlled releases, patches, and production hot fixes.
- Familiarity with AWS development, test, and production environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with Section 508, cybersecurity, ATO, RMF, and STIG compliance testing is preferred.
- Familiarity with IEEE software-defect severity or comparable defect-management standards is preferred.
