Quality Assurance Officer
About the role
As a QA Officer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of products at Kitchen Food Company's manufacturing site in Meadowbrook, QLD.
Working a full-time Monday to Friday you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive quality assurance checks throughout the production process to uphold the company's high standards.
What you'll do
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled quality inspections on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products
- Monitor production processes and identify any deviations from established quality control protocols
- Liaise with production teams to implement corrective actions and ensure quality improvements
- Maintain detailed documentation and records of all quality control activities
- Support the continuous improvement of quality systems and procedures
- Assist with the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and quality-related issues
- Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Officer, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years' work experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of quality control principles, methods, and best practices
- Proficient in using quality control tools and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant qualifications in Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or a related field
- Qualifications in Food Science or similar at any level accepted
