Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
The Role
We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, at junior or senior level, to own quality across IRIS's technology products. You will be the last check before anything reaches a client.
The role covers quality across the full product lifecycle rather than testing at the end of it. You will shape acceptance criteria before build starts, verify what is built, decide whether a release is ready, and follow quality through client deployment and into production.
Our products carry assessment scores, competency results, and workforce analytics that clients make decisions on. A wrong number is a worse outcome than a late release, so the role is judged on the defects that never reach a client rather than on test volume.
What You Will Own
· Quality of everything IRIS ships to a client across the product portfolio
· The acceptance criteria, definition of done, and quality gates the team works to
· Functional correctness, with particular weight on scoring, calculation, and reporting logic
· Non-functional quality: performance, security, multi-tenant isolation, and access control over employee data
· The test strategy, the automation suite, and the test data and environments behind it
· Release readiness, the go or no-go recommendation, and the test evidence clients require at acceptance
· Production quality after release: defect triage, root cause, and preventing repeats
What You Will Do
Quality standards and prevention
· Review specifications, designs, and data models for ambiguity and testability before build starts
· Agree acceptance criteria and the definition of done with the Tech Product Owner
· Maintain the quality gates and the release checklist the team works to
· Feed defect root causes back into how the team specifies and builds, so the same defect does not recur
Test design and execution
· Write and maintain test plans and test cases from the product specification for each release
· Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
· Verify calculation and scoring logic against the defined rules, not only through the interface
· Verify data migration, import, and data integrity across client tenants
Non-functional testing
· Test performance, load, and stability against expected client volumes
· Test security, multi-tenant isolation, roles, permissions, and access control over employee data
· Test compatibility across browsers and devices, and check usability and accessibility
· Check the handling of personal data against PDPA obligations
Automation, data, and environments
· Build and maintain automated regression and end-to-end suites, integrated into the CI/CD pipeline
· Own the test data sets, including synthetic data for client-like scenarios
· Maintain test environments and keep them representative of production
AI feature testing
· Test AI-generated output for accuracy, consistency, and guardrail compliance
· Build evaluation sets and acceptance criteria for features that are not deterministic
· Re-test when prompts, models, or underlying rules change
Release and defect management
· Log, reproduce, prioritize, and track defects through to closure
· Report quality status, defect trends, and residual risk ahead of each release
· Give the release readiness recommendation, and produce the test evidence for client acceptance
Client deployment and production
· Prepare test data and environments for client pilots and user acceptance testing
· Support client UAT sessions, capture issues, and drive resolution
· Re-test after client configuration and data migration
· Triage production issues, establish root cause, and confirm the fix
· Own the test strategy and the automation framework across the portfolio
· Define the quality metrics, and report quality and risk to leadership
· Mentor junior QA, and coach developers on building for testability
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
· Three or more years in software quality assurance, project work of demonstrable testing quality, including ownership of a test strategy
· Working knowledge of test design techniques, defect management, and the software development lifecycle
· Ability to test beneath the interface: APIs, data, and calculation logic
· SQL capability sufficient to verify data and calculation results directly
· Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
· Attention to detail, and the persistence to reproduce and isolate a defect
· Professional proficiency in Thai and English
What Sets Candidates Apart
· Test automation experience (for example Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium) and CI/CD integration
· Experience testing assessment, scoring, payroll, financial, or analytics systems where calculation correctness is critical
· Experience testing multi-tenant B2B SaaS, including permissions and data isolation
· Performance, load, or security testing experience
· Experience testing AI or machine learning features
· Experience setting quality standards or a test strategy for a product team
What You Will Get
· Ownership of quality across the whole product portfolio, not a single project
· A genuine say in what ships and when
· Direct work with the product owner, the development team, and client users
· A path to test strategy and automation ownership
