Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

This role combines primary responsibility for Quality Assurance with support on development and deployment. You will develop and implement QA standards within the organization to improve standards and processes within the team. You will identify materials needed to help improve the skills of team members on QA-related matters and conduct regular QA improvement meetings and skill share sessions. You will look for ways to improve ways of working including implementation of new QA tools and services such as automated regression testing. You will work with Product Owners to implement UAC standards that help prevent common issues or common bugs from reoccurring, and work with Lead Developers to check on coding standards for the same purpose. In the development and deployment support capacity, you will create quality and complete test plans and test scripts to test functionality, performance, stability, and compatibility with other systems, conduct testing based on the test script in a timely and complete fashion, and properly document findings to communicate to the Scrum Team or project stakeholders. You will conduct regression testing to ensure the consistency and stability of a solution and provide insightful and out-of-the-box solutions to bugs and enhancements found during testing.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, management, or other related fields
• A keen eye on details
• An in-depth understanding on industry QA tools, standards, and policies
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Fundamental technical, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills
• A track record of following through on commitments
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• A history of supporting successful projects
• Mobile development, web development, UI/UX background is a plus
