QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the INSPECTION, TEST, QUALITY ASSURANCE & TRAINING DIVISION, LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. ***TEMPORARY POSTION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR AND MAY BECOME PERMANENT WITHOUT FURTHER COMPETITION. ***

You will conduct shop investigations, special quality assurance investigations, failure analysis investigations, audits and studies to identify problems underlying causes.

You will collect, monitor, analyze and interpret nuclear and non-nuclear statistical quality data, audit findings and Rework expenditures.

You will prepare investigative analysis and quality indicator reports relating to deficiencies.

You will prepare charts, graphs and monthly reports to management.

You will take or recommend appropriate action to help reduce rework or prevent recurrence of deficiencies or quality problems.
