Position Summary
Davcor Aviation Services is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in San Antonio, TX.
This position will be responsible for supporting quality assurance activities by reviewing technical drawings, verifying measurements and dimensions, and ensuring completed work meets applicable specifications and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, solid mathematical and measurement skills, and the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings. This role requires an individual who takes pride in accuracy and is comfortable identifying and communicating discrepancies before work is approved.
Key Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and understand technical drawings, specifications, and related documentation.

Inspect completed work to verify compliance with applicable drawings, dimensions, and quality requirements.

Use a digital protractor to accurately measure and verify angles.

Accurately calculate and verify radius measurements based on technical drawings and specifications.

Perform dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring tools and equipment.

Compare actual measurements against specified tolerances and requirements.

Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies or nonconforming work.

Ensure required inspections and quality checks are completed accurately and consistently.

Maintain accurate quality assurance and inspection documentation.

Work closely with production and operational personnel to address quality concerns and ensure requirements are clearly understood.

Maintain measuring and inspection equipment in proper working condition.

Follow established company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Qualifications

Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Ability to accurately use a digital protractor.

Ability to calculate a radius and perform other basic dimensional calculations.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, inspection, manufacturing, fabrication, machining, aviation, or a related technical environment is preferred.

Experience reading blueprints, engineering drawings, or technical documentation is preferred.

Previous experience using precision measuring and inspection tools is preferred.

Familiarity with dimensional tolerances and inspection processes is a plus.
