Quality Assurance Test Analyst - Automation/Manual Testing

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

1. Requirement Analysis :

- Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and project documents.

2. Test Planning :

- Prepare test plans, testing strategies, and test scenarios based on requirements.

3. Test Case Design :

- Create detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data.

4. Manual Testing :

- Execute test cases manually to verify application functionality.

5. Automation Testing :

- Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, where applicable.

6. Functional Testing :

- Verify that application features work according to the requirements.

7. Regression Testing :

- Ensure that new changes do not affect existing functionalities.

8. Defect Identification and Reporting :

- Identify bugs, document defects, and track them using tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.

9. Retesting :

- Verify whether reported defects have been fixed successfully.

10. Integration Testing :

- Check whether different application modules work together correctly.

11. API Testing :

- Validate API requests, responses, and data using tools such as Postman, where required.

12. Database Testing :

- Validate data accuracy and consistency using SQL queries, where applicable.

13. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support :

- Assist business users in validating the application against their requirements.

14. Test Reporting :

- Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and testing status updates.

15. Team Collaboration :

- Coordinate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other QA team members.
