Quality Assurance Tester (Automation)

Responsibilities:

• Develop manual test cases based on functional specifications
• Prepare test reports for functional tests
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives)
• Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts to support continuous regression testing
• Develop test plan, test scripts and test report for performance test
• Utilise AI tools to speed up testing tasks (Generate test plans, test cases, test data, automated scripts, performance test scripts and test reports)
• Explore and adopt AI tools to analyse logs, conduct root-cause analysis and optimise regression test suites
• Conduct functional, automated and performance testing on software applications
• Identify, log, track and retest defects in defect tracking system
• Report testing progress to the project team
• Provide support for User Acceptance Test
• Collaborate with various teams, not limited to Solution Architects, Project Manager, Developers to develop strong understanding of the project and testing objectives and to ensure that bugs reported are fixed within the timeline

Prerequisites:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or its equivalent
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and high attention to detail.
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in testing web-based application
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-team collaboration
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Robot Framework will be added advantage
• Basic exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner will be added advantage
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines will be added advantage
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or equivalent certifications will be added advantage
