Quality Assurance Tester
Summary
QA Tester writes and runs test cases, tracks defects, and automates tests to ensure software quality in a collaborative Agile team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare test cases and testing artefacts based on functional specifications and user stories.
- Develop and maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
- Create and maintain test data using SQL scripts and other relevant tools.
- Execute manual and automated test scripts according to test plans.
- Analyse test results to identify defects, predict user behaviour, and recommend solutions.
- Document testing activities and prepare daily test status reports.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Execute automation test cases and contribute to automation initiatives.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in software testing.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and test lifecycle processes.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Tosca, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Basic SQL knowledge for test data preparation and validation.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of test automation concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with API testing and database testing.
