The Role

Your Role

Are you passionate about improving software quality through automation and continuous testing? As a Quality Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring software reliability, accelerating delivery through automation, and driving quality across the entire software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and stakeholders in an Agile and DevOps environment to build robust testing strategies and deliver high-quality solutions.

What You Will Do

• Design and execute risk-based test strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage of business-critical functionality.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and Application Programming Interface (API) testing.
• Integrate automated testing into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable rapid feedback and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers to define acceptance criteria and prevent defects from reaching production.
• Lead functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and user acceptance testing activities to validate end-to-end solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for testing practices, automation frameworks, and quality engineering methodologies.

You are a quality-focused professional with a passion for automation, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional software experiences. You thrive in collaborative Agile environments and enjoy solving complex testing challenges through innovation and technical expertise.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and risk-based testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, SikuliX, or EggPlant.
• Proficiency in automation scripting using Python, Java, JavaScript, or C-Sharp (C#).
• Experience integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab Continuous Integration (GitLab CI), Jenkins, or Bamboo.
• Strong understanding of Agile testing practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and exploratory testing.
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust.
• Knowledge of application security testing using Open Worldwide Application Security Project Zed Attack Proxy (OWASP ZAP), Burp Suite, Static Application Security Testing (SAST), or Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
• Experience with containerized testing environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
• Professional certifications such as Certified Software Testing Professional (CSTP) or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
