Lakeview's Quality Care Aide is a member of the resident’s health care team and assists with personal care and training of residents as part of the restorative exercise regimen.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Implements the restorative plan as written by the Registered Nurse or Therapist.

Performs specific restorative procedures such as feeding, ambulation, exercise, observation, reports and documents in medical records when completed.

• Assists residents in self-care.
• Accurately obtain weekly and monthly weights.
• Reports any changes or observations regarding the resident to the Assistant Director of Nursing.
• Encourage and promote independence as much as possible.
• Assist with activities individually and as a group.
• Function as a CNA when needed.
• May perform housekeeping duties by cleaning rooms and public spaces as needed.
• Ensure that resident plan of care is followed and report concerns to the nurse on duty.
• Attends to all residents’ personal hygiene/personal care needs, included but not limited to grooming, hygiene, dining/nutrition, mobility, elimination, psychosocial and safety needs following the resident-centered care approach.
• Ensures that Resident Rights are being followed at all times, including those of fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including rights to express grievances are followed.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
