Quality Control and Safety Manager
The Quality Control and Safety Manager will
provide services and support to the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center
contract located at Edwards AFB, California.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Project Management
- Assist the Program Manager in ensuring
full compliance with all Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements,
overseeing project execution to meet or exceed performance objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive
quality control procedures for all deliverables, ensuring adherence to defined
standards and continuous improvement in process quality.
- Collaborate with project teams to
develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics,
analyzing data to drive performance improvements and strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the management of the
project's safety program, ensuring all team members are trained on and adhere
to safety protocols and guidelines, and that all project activities comply with
relevant safety standards.
- Project a positive, professional image
to our clients through competent, informed, and responsive support to service
requirements; Liaise with key government personnel in the performance of duties
to professionally represent the company.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with
PRI performance and work products to meet the standards of performance and
professionalism.
- Provides full-service task management
duties to manage and oversee assigned contractors and personnel.
- Communicate job expectations and coach
employees to perform at a high level at all times.
- Perform reviews and coordinate daily
and long-range task requirements.
- Conduct employee coaching, training,
mentoring, and conflict management and resolution.
- Support the Program Manager in
maintaining rigorous adherence to NASA regulations and instructions, ensuring
all project activities align with federal guidelines and best practices.
- Support corporate Safety and Quality
Control operations as requested.
- Provide the necessary expertise and
capabilities required to support the Logistics Office in all phases of
acquisition and operational logistics services to include but not limited to:
planning, coordination, and implementation for NASA programs and projects as
required by the Government.
- Logistics Planning and Coordination: Apply
various elements of logistics, transportation, and engineering to NASA’s
programs and projects as approved by the Government and as directed by the
Center Life-Cycle Logistics Manager.
- Inspections/Investigations/Audits: Cooperate
with Logistics personnel and non-Logistics personnel (i.e. Auditors, OSHA,
Protective Services, Inspectors General, congressional, and other regulatory
agencies) who are performing inspections/investigations of the Contractor’s
workspace and activities in accordance with NPD 1210.2 NASA Surveys, Audits,
and Review Policy.
Requirements
- May require the ability to receive and
maintain a SECRET Clearance
- 5+ years of experience as a QC Manager
and/or Safety Manager on Federal contracts similar in size and complexity
- 5+ years overseeing logistics
processes and projects
- Experience implementing ISO9001 or
AS9100
- Experience implementing Occupational
Safety and Health Standards 29 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 1910
- Experience managing service quality,
including setting appropriate metrics and remedying concerns to protect the
Government
- Strong customer service skills and
ability to deal with conflict resolution
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork
- Strong analytical skills
- Superior communication skills,
including interpersonal communications with customers and workforce, as well as
strong writing skills
