Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary/Basic Functions:

The incumbent performs incoming, in-process, final and outgoing inspection of materials, tools, workpieces, and products such as castings, cutting tools, gauges, machine parts, and assembled units for conformance to specifications.

Job Knowledge Requirements:

1. Use of basic inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gages.
2. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
3. Basic computer skills with emphasis on spreadsheets, word processing, and digital photography.
4. Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Maintain Quality Assurance documents, samples, equipment, and all related files.
2. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
3. Perform other (related) duties as directed by Quality Assurance Leadership.

Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience:

1. Must have a high school diploma or vocational training equivalent in machining trades.
2. Manual dexterity and strength/stamina to perform all tasks. Able to lift 45 pounds unassisted.
3. Visual acuity including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
4. Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
5. Basic computer skills.
