Quality Control Inspector (Bilingual – English & Chinese)

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform physical analysis and inspection for product and raw materials, while able to maintain and keep track on measurement record, data and information. Knowledge able to maintain measurement equipment calibration status and requirement. Able to work in Laboratory environment and cooperate with other personnel.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
1. Responsible for inspection of product and raw material which included dimension, density, weighting, visual inspection.

2. Operate Scanning Acoustic Microscopy machine to perform C-Scan inspection.

3. Operate Laser Profiler to conduct spent target profiling.

4. Maintain and ensure all measurement equipment and tools calibration are up to date.

5. Maintain reserve sample records, transfer documents and disposition of samples.

6. Maintain system transaction and data recording for all incoming samples for QA and Lab

7. Assist lab personnel in preparing samples for physical analysis (gas, SEM, PSD, Tap density and hardness) according to procedure and requirements.

8. Follow and ensure strict safety and PM procedures and safety checks all activities in laboratory.

9. Maintaining workplace cleanliness and 5S practically.

COMPETENCIES/ JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Good understanding of manufacturing environment and laboratory safety.

2. Good safety awareness.

3. Fundamental Chemistry and Physics knowledge (e.g. understand periodic table)

4. Fundamental knowledge about measurement and analytical equipment.

5. Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications.

6. Keen attention to detail.

7. Engineering drawing reading capabilities.

8. Teamwork and collaboration.

9. Well organized & Good housekeeping.

10. Multi-tasking, able to work under tight schedule, flexible and able to adapt to changes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
1. At least a Diploma in Sciences / Engineering or equivalent

2. Proficient in MS Office Applications

3. Preferred prior experience in QC lab in manufacturing environment

4. Prior experience in operating analytical instruments

5. At least 2 years working experience

6. Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders)
