Job Summary: US Display Group, Inc., a premier manufacturer of Point of Purchase displays. The Quality Inspector will uphold the safety regulations of our company and supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations.
Position Overview: The Quality Inspector is responsible for the inspection of raw materials, in-process assembly activities, finished products, and other items as required. This position is required to follow quality inspection procedures and to demonstrate a working knowledge of technical specifications, test plans, and drawings. The Quality Control Inspector is expected to perform essential duties that maintain an effective quality management system and ensure product quality. This position will support the company’s goal of ensuring compliance with applicable ISO 9001 regulations.
Description
A Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on the machine side. Ex. Barberan, Martin
- Perform in-process and final inspections in assembly and packing. Ex. Felix Gluer
- Perform 1st piece inspection for all production processes
- Interface with management on production issues
- Issue Non-Conforming (NCR) reports on discrepant material
- Maintain reports on inspection functions
- Perform housekeeping responsibilities
- Pull customer samples for Project Managers
- Maintain Hold Area
- Support current Quality Management System (QMS)
- Support ISO 9001 requirements
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist Quality Manager in special projects.
- Promote safety.
- Promote good housekeeping.
- Promote good environmental practices.
- Assist in the AIB program as required.
- Perform receiving inspection on incoming products, when needed.
