Quality Control Specialist

Summary

Oversee product quality and supplier compliance for a food wholesaler, performing inspections, audits, and risk assessments while maintaining documentation and driving continuous improvement.

A selection of your responsibilities within your role:

  • Handling quality claims, performing trend analysis, and preparing regular quality reports

  • Executing Own Brand risk assessments and supporting product development projects

  • Conducting QC inspections for stock intakes, first delivery inspections, pre-shipment checks, and following up on corrective actions

  • Monitoring supplier compliance, food safety certifications, audit reports, and laboratory analysis results

  • Maintaining quality documentation, traceability records, supplier files, and reporting systems

  • Supporting supplier audits, traceability exercises, recalls, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and customer requirements

  • Organizing and maintaining up-to-date records in QA systems, databanks, and collaboration platforms

If you are...

  • Good at communication and ready for new experiences and engaged to reach your potential

  • Fluent in English (Dutch or another language is an asset!)

Have...

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Safety, Quality, Technical, Business, or a related field

  • At least 2 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or a similar specialist role

  • Knowledge of EU food safety legislation and quality standards

  • Experience working with audits, supplier assessments, or GFSI standards is considered a plus

  • Dedicated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

  • The ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
