Summary
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a key role in driving quality excellence throughout our organization. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, strengthen compliance, and ensure our products consistently meet the highest quality standards.
Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector III is responsible for executing Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities to ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role performs inspections, analyzes data, evaluates product compliance, identifies quality issues, and recommends corrective actions. As a senior-level inspector, the Quality Control Inspector III provides technical guidance, mentors junior inspectors, and supports the implementation and enforcement of quality standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform inspections in Manufacturing and Receiving to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
· Monitor production operations to ensure conformance with company procedures and applicable codes and standards.
· Communicate inspection findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
· Generate, review, and maintain internal quality documentation as well as customer-required quality records.
· Perform Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Level II inspections, including:
· Visual Testing (VT)
· Penetrant Testing (PT)
· Read and interpret equipment data sheets, perform measurements, utilize testing equipment, and conduct calibrations.
· Review and interpret Material Test Reports (MTRs) and Certified Material Test Reports (CMTRs).
· Read, understand, and apply applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
· Generate, maintain, and control manufacturing travelers and inspection documentation.
· Maintain welder continuity logs and qualification records.
· Ensure welders maintain current certifications and qualifications for assigned welding processes.
· Record inspection observations and provide recommendations for process improvements.
· Train, mentor, and support junior inspectors.
· Assist with the enforcement of company policies and quality procedures.
· Support the Quality Manager with quality initiatives, projects, audits, and continuous improvement programs.
· Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
· 3 to 5 years of Quality Inspection experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
· AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
· Experience with X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) inspection and material verification processes.
· Ability to perform a full range of inspections, including Commercial Grade Dedication inspections in Receiving.
· Prior ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system experience.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, technical documents, and manuals.
· Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
