Quality Engineer
Badger Alloys is seeking a Quality Engineer to act as the primary technical point of contact for post-shipment quality concerns, driving investigations and resolutions directly with the customer. The quality engineer will manage the documentation, certification, and nonconformance processes supporting production and shipping operations. This role is responsible for the technical accuracy and execution of material certifications, scrap dispositions, and customer complaint processing.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline, or 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
· Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills when engaging with both internal and external customers.
· Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical specifications, blueprints, and purchase order requirements.
· Detail oriented and organized, with a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and records is a firm requirement.
· Ability to pivot between tasks to ensure timelines are met.
· High level of consistency and accuracy when entering data.
Material certifications & Documentation
· Review production, heat treat, and non-destructive testing records to verify compliance with customer requirements.
· Ensure accurate and complete material certification documentation.
Nonconformance & Scrap Management
· Log and track internal and external nonconformance data, coordinating with area experts to determine final dispositions and root causes.
· Track the progress of open nonconformance reports and customer returns to prevent production and shipping delays.
Customer Concerns & Technical Engagement
· Serve as the key technical contact for customers regarding shipped product nonconformances; lead the engagement, assessment, and resolution process.
· Investigate customer concerns by reviewing requirements, production records, and physical evidence to determine true root cause.
· Coordinate with subject matter experts and process owners to drive appropriate corrective actions and author formal technical responses for our customers.
WORK ARRANGEMENTS & SCHEDULE
· This is a full-time onsite position.
· The position allows a flexible schedule during daytime hours to accommodate individual needs (between 6AM-5PM).
