Quality Engineer
About the Role
BYD THAILAND is looking for a Quality Engineer to monitor and improve manufacturing quality, analyze production data, and resolve quality issues. This role will support quality inspections, audits, corrective actions, supplier quality improvement, and customer complaint resolution to ensure compliance with quality standards and enhance production yield.
What You’ll Be Doing
Monitor and control manufacturing process quality to ensure compliance with established standards.
Analyze production and quality data, manage abnormalities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase production yield.
Establish inspection standards for assigned projects and quality control points.
Prepare, maintain, and control quality documentation in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements.
Support internal and external audits and follow up on audit findings.
Issue and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Investigate and analyze supplier defects and customer complaints.
Coordinate with relevant departments to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
Apply quality tools and methodologies to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by management.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and relevant industrial laws and regulations.
Basic knowledge of battery technology is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including the 7 QC Tools and core tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and DOE.
Understanding of manufacturing and management processes.
Strong analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle urgent situations and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Good communication and documentation skills.
