Quality Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Quality department at sites and ensure that Intermass Quality policy and procedures are followed by everyone.
- Understand project quality requirements and ensure that document submissions & execution of works are in line with the quality standards.
- Review documentation for all upcoming works and ensure that Engineers and Construction team are using the correct approved versions of documents at site.
- Prepare ITP and other quality documents as required; review document submittals to verify compliance to the project standards.
- Coordinate with construction team to plan work inspections and ensure timely submission of WIRs to Consultant as per the approved ITPs.
- Track the status of WIRs, MIRs, Test reports etc. Confirm the required Inspections and tests are conducted and approved.
- Undertake regular in-process inspections and monitoring of ongoing works and identify potential site observations (SORs) and non-conformances (NCRs).
- Communicate proactively with the Construction team & subcontractors about quality issues. Promote/conduct onsite Quality trainings.
- Involve in snagging and de-snagging (internal & consultant) process to handover of the project up to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Arrange/conduct material & field testing as per the project requirements and ITP. Ensure testing & commissioning and review records.
- Monitor and confirm protection of finished items, proper storage of materials & housekeeping.
- Prepare quality reports, track project KPIs and report to management and all concerned. Promote quality culture.
- NCR & SOR Tracking. Ensure the closeout of all NCRs, SORs and other outstanding items within the timeframe permitted.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001) is an advantage.
