JOB DETAILS:

Location: Greenville, MI

Position: Quality Engineer

Type: Full-Time

Salary: $70-85,000

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for analyzing engineering specifications and monitoring operational processes to develop and install quality control methods, practices and procedures for a designated area or operation.
Recommends dimensions and characteristics to be inspected and techniques to be followed.
Participates in developing and maintaining ISO and QS 9000 policies and procedures.
Plays an integral part within the cutting edge, quality manufacturing training program.
Work with floor supervisors and operators to ensure good quality products are produced and shipped to the customer on time.
Utilizes established problem solving techniques to resolve quality concerns and improve processes. Works with external and internal diverse customer base.

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required
3-5 years of experience in a automotive Tier 1 manufacturing environment preferred
Gage R&R experience and calibration a plus
Ability to perform statistical evaluations using Statgraphics, Minitab or related application
Basic understanding of statistics required
Problem solving skills and interpersonal skills required
Knowledge of Quality Systems (FMEA's, PPAP's, TS16949, Ford Q1, DCX, GM, etc.)
Developed communication skills with all levels of management
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to work any shift or overtime if required
