• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including document control, corrective/preventive actions (CAR/PAR), and internal audits.

• Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits by customers or certification bodies.

• Prepare and review quality-related documentation such as Control Plans, FMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and Work Instructions.

2. Incoming, In-Process & Final Inspection

• Oversee quality control for precision metal stamping parts—monitor dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and tooling consistency.

• Establish and verify inspection standards and measurement methods (CMM, micrometer, height gauge, vision systems, etc.).

• Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and ensure proper documentation per customer and IATF requirements.

• Ensure timely response to non-conformance issues and coordinate root cause analysis.

3. Process Quality Improvement

• Work closely with Production and Tooling teams to resolve stamping defects such as burrs, deformation, spring-back, or dimensional variance.

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa diagram, etc.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives—SPC, CPK, MSA, and DOE (Design of Experiments).

• Evaluate supplier performance and assist in supplier quality audits.

4. Customer & Supplier Quality Interface

• Act as the main quality liaison for customers on product quality, audit requirements, and complaint management.

• Handle customer complaints, prepare 8D reports, and follow up on corrective actions.

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming raw materials and tooling components meet specifications.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Perform quality data analysis (e.g., scrap rate, process capability, defect trends) to identify and prevent recurring issues.

• Present regular quality performance reports to management.

• Support PPAP submission and documentation for new or modified parts.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in precision stamping, metal fabrication, or automotive component manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.

• Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and measurement tools.

• Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

• Experience with customer audits, FAI reports, and corrective action systems.

Preferred Skills (Advantageous)

• Familiarity with automotive OEM customer requirements (e.g., VW, Honda, Toyota, Continental).

• Hands-on experience with precision stamping dies, progressive tooling, or metal forming simulation software.

• Certification in Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 or Six Sigma Green Belt.
