QUALITY ENGINEER

Job Description:

• Perform verification for defective parts found by QC inspector or supervisor.
• Raise NCR for internal IPQC/FQC reject follow up (rework/re-inspection etc) with action closure. Make Quality Information (QI) or checklist, if needed, for future control of process.
• Raise NCR for follow up action with Supplier/Subcon reject. Perform audit if required.
• Need to ensure all NCR follow up action being monitor promptly (target within 3days) to avoid any delay which may impact to customer delivery. If needed, to split JO accordingly to ensure those partial acceptable parts can pass to the next process first.
• Update NCR masterlist on action taken, make weekly report.
• Any reject issue that is chargeable to supplier/subcon, NCR with cost submit to Account. Compile the monthly summary & email to respective section.
• Monitoring the IPQC/FQC inspection progress in weekly basis. This can also be done thru monitoring SMOM status.
• Update Loss cost (COPQ) pertaining to manpower hour; material cost; re-treatment cost for those rejects that are related to our internal process. Update on NCR masterlist.
• Ensure corrective actions are taken within the stipulated schedule (generally 5working days). Update on NCR masterlist.
• Monitoring the action effectiveness for 3 consecutive lots for major defect. Update on NCR masterlist.
• Conduct internal process audit to ensure for action implementation as and when necessary.
• Ensure QC workplace safety regulations being follow and proper use of PPE.
• Ensure QC maintain good housekeeping and 5Spractices in the shop floor area.
• Assist in relevant quality documentation preparation during ISO/Customer audit.

Job Requirement:

• Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in inspection or quality control environment.
• Experience with CMM inspection systems and measurement tools.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and specification.
• Capable of independent judgment in final inspection and verification tasks.
• Good problem-solving analytical skill.
