About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Engineer (Test Automation) to drive test automation initiatives across functional, regression, and integration testing activities. This role focuses on reducing manual testing effort through robust automation while ensuring compliance with GxP validation requirements.
You will work primarily with Robot Framework and an additional automation tool to support testing across Veeva Vault configuration changes, Vault-to-Vault integrations, and MuleSoft-based integrations. In addition to automation, you will be responsible for producing formal testing documentation and audit-ready evidence required in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated test coverage for Veeva Vault configuration changes, Vault-to-Vault integrations, and MuleSoft-based integrations

  • Automate end-to-end functional, regression, UI, API, and data validation testing scenarios

  • Execute automated regression test suites ahead of each Veeva Vault release cycle and major platform changes

  • Analyze, report, and triage test execution results

  • Manage test cases, execution tracking, and defect management within Jira and XRAY

  • Maintain full traceability from requirements through test cases, execution results, and defects

  • Prepare and maintain formal testing documentation including Test Plans, Test Scripts, Test Cases, Test Summary Reports, and traceability matrices

  • Collaborate with Configuration Specialists and Integration Engineers to ensure requirements are testable and automation-friendly

  • Investigate automation failures and distinguish script or environment issues from genuine application defects

  • Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution in Jira and XRAY

  • Continuously expand automated test coverage to reduce reliance on manual UAT and regression testing

  • Support validation and CSV-aligned testing requirements by producing audit-ready testing evidence

  • Provide test coverage and test cycle metrics to support CoE governance and reporting activities

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance

  • Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Robot Framework test automation

  • Proficiency with at least one additional automation tool such as Selenium WebDriver, Tosca, or a similar solution

  • Experience automating UI, API, and data validation test scenarios

  • Hands-on experience with Jira and XRAY for test management, execution tracking, traceability, and defect management

  • Experience creating formal testing documentation including Test Plans, Test Summary Reports, and traceability matrices

  • Experience working within regulated or GxP-compliant environments

  • Experience testing enterprise SaaS platforms

  • Basic understanding of API testing and integration validation

  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum delivery environments with sprint-based execution

  • Strong written English skills with the ability to create audit-facing documentation

  • Ability to work independently while following an established testing strategy

Nice to Have

  • Experience testing Veeva Vault applications

  • Experience testing MuleSoft-based integrations

  • Knowledge of CSV/CSA-aligned testing practices and risk-based testing approaches

  • Experience building reusable automation frameworks and libraries

  • Robot Framework certification

  • Selenium certification

  • Experience supporting validation evidence and audit readiness activities

Key Deliverables

  • Automated test scripts with defined coverage for configuration and integration changes

  • Test Plans for releases and major platform changes

  • Test Summary Reports for releases and major platform changes

  • Maintained traceability matrices in Jira and XRAY

  • Defect logs including root-cause triage and resolution tracking

  • Audit-ready testing and validation evidence

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation quality

  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams across India, Prague, and US time zones

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to distinguish automation-related issues from genuine product defects

  • Self-driven approach with strong ownership and accountability

  • Ability to work independently while escalating scope or strategy-related questions when needed
