Quality Engineer
Key Responsibilities
· Support the execution of global quality standards and best practices across the organization
· Lead and support OEM customer quality requirements, including audits, print reviews, compliance, and documentation
· Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, including implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
· Collaborate with suppliers to ensure alignment with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
· Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to enable successful product launches
· Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies using statistical analysis and quality tools
· Drive integration of Process Flows, PFMEA, Control Plans, and CAPA processes
· Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain product and process quality requirements
· Assist with customer communication related to audits, nonconformances, and technical concerns
· Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality systems and standards
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
· Strong knowledge of core quality tools: APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP
· Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, root cause analysis)
· Experience with ISO methodologies and certification maintenance
· Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
· Understanding of continuous improvement principles
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and technical systems
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality required
· Equivalent experience may be considered:
· High School Diploma + 10+ years of related quality experience
· Trade School Diploma + 3+ years of related quality experience
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or supplier quality
Physical Requirements
- Standing/walking on a hard surface
- Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs. / Frequent lifting of 10-24 lbs.
- Occasionally carry 25-50 lbs. / Frequently carry 10-24 lbs.
