Quality Engineer - Warranty

As Quality Engineer – Warranty you will be responsible for managing customer warranty complaints end-to-end, including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and driving continuous quality improvements.

YOUR ROLE

  • Registration of customer complaints and acknowledgment towards the customer in cooperation with the customer service team, inform responsible team-mates and supervisors, prepare reports for management
  • Maintaining contact with customers regarding warranty complaints, in cooperation with the customer service team
  • Ensuring acquisition, implementation, and compliance with required customer-specific requirements
  • Keeping the complaint database up to date and recording action plans in the action tracking system
  • Execution of 8D or other corrective action reports using quality tools (5 Why, Ishikawa diagram, etc.)
  • Documentation of observations and discussion of improvement proposals with middle and first line management involved in the process
  • Follow-up of actions defined during complaints, participation in their implementation, and ensuring coordination
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and documenting the implementation of approved improvements, and preparing regular status reports
  • Participation in warranty cost calculations
  • Participation in determining technical factors
  • Preparation of monthly warranty cost reports and reporting to management
  • Apply lessons learned from own and other departments’ experience
  • Participation in continuous improvement activities
  • Provide training for employees on customer complaints and improvements

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Communication level of English knowledge
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS, VDA standards
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on usage of quality tools and methods (APQP, FMEA, CP, SPC, MSA, PPAP, Pareto, Ishikawa, 8D, PDCA)
  • Experience in audit management
  • IMDS és ES Test Planing knowledge
  • Process-oriented mindset
  • Strong root cause analyis and problem-solving skills
  • Good observation skills
  • Precision / attention to detail
  • Good communication skills

QUALIFICATION

  • 3+ years in quality or a related technical role
  • BA/MA degree in engineering, science, or a related field
  • IATF 16949 auditor, VDA 6.3 auditor certificate is advantageous
