Quality Inspector I

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and materials.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify conformance to specifications.
• Approve or reject products based on inspection results and consult with the Quality Manager when necessary.
• Selecting output samples and checking them using appropriate methods.
• Performs complex testing procedures.
• Maintain records of testing, information and various records.
• Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is well-maintained and calibration if up to date.
• Prepare and submit reports to Quality Manager.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations and corrective actions as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role.
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Familiarity with quality testing machines a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of quality control standards.
• Verbal and communication skills a must.
• Basic Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production or warehouse environment for extended periods.
• Sufficient visual acuity to inspect small components and read measuring instruments.
