Airswift is seeking a Quality Lead (Performance) to work in Qatar with a major oil & gas company.

Job purpose

Responsible for the integrity and fit-for-service of all goods and services provided by all Major Project (MP) as a member of the Quality Team of the Shared Services. Ensure high quality, cost effective, and a full life cycle of continuous and safe operations. Responsible for collecting and analyzing all MP quality data and identifying trends and areas for improvement to increase overall project quality and enhance efficiency and flawless execution.

Qualifications requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering.
  • Certification in ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.

Experience and knowledge

  • 8 years’ experience in quality in the oil & gas industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Experience with oil & gas companies, contractors, or service companies.
  • Experience working in large scale operating organizations in operations, projects, etc.
  • Knowledge of relevant quality systems, specifications, and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards.
  • Creating and implementing quality control plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure products and processes meet established standards and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, specifications, industry regulations, and performance improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of quality analysis tools, root cause failure analysis, etc.
  • Experience documenting quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and other relevant documents clearly and concisely.
  • Experience with various testing and inspection methods, both destructive and non-destructive, as well as the ability to interpret results.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess the work of various contractors and vendors executing work for the company.
  • Analyze major projects audits, audit findings, deficiency reports (DRs), nonconformance reports (NCRs), specification deviation requests (SDRs), to identify trends and areas for improvements and propose improvement initiatives.
  • Authorize and monitor the activities of all contractors, subcontractors, vendors and sub vendors quality support teams responsible for various quality activities/support for company projects.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to contractor and vendor quality personnel in the development of quality plans, gap analyses, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company quality requirements.
  • Lead or be part of quality management system audits to ensure full compliance with company requirements and applicable international codes and standards.
  • Participate in project lessons learned sessions to improve and optimize quality interfaces for future projects.
  • Create and implement quality control plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure products and processes meet established standards and specifications.
  • Investigate quality issues, performing root cause analysis using tools like fishbone diagram, whys, etc., and developing, implementing and closing out corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with other teams (engineering, manufacturing, etc.) to address quality issues, communicate quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes and products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
