Quality Management System (QMS) Manager

Your Role
As a Quality Management System (QMS) Manager at Shelly, you own our ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications and SMETA audit readiness across all departments and production sites. You turn standards into practical processes and work with teams across the business to make quality, environmental responsibility, and information security part of everyday operations. You lead internal audits, coordinate external assessments, and keep us audit-ready without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve Shelly’s integrated management system, keeping policies, procedures, and records clear, current, and easy to use.
• Work with process owners in every department and production site to map workflows, clarify responsibilities, and make practical improvements.
• Plan and conduct internal audits across all departments and production sites, identify gaps, and follow up on findings.

• Coordinate external certification and customer audits, prepare teams and documentation, and act as the main point of contact for certification bodies.
• Manage nonconformities from root cause analysis through corrective action and closure, checking that the changes are effective.
• Coordinate information security risk management with the IT team, keeping risk assessments and action plans up to date.
• Manage Shelly’s Sedex membership and work with HR to maintain SMETA readiness and address social compliance audit findings.
• Lead the transition to ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 14001:2026, assess gaps, and coordinate the required process and documentation updates.
• Track management system KPIs and prepare management review materials that highlight performance, risks, and improvement priorities.
• Run awareness training that helps colleagues understand the standards, their responsibilities, and how to apply our processes day to day.

Requirements

• You bring at least 5 years of experience in quality or integrated management systems, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• You have hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, along with working knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001.
• You have experience preparing for SMETA or other social compliance audits.
• You hold a Lead Auditor certificate for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO/IEC 27001.
• You have a proven track record of managing external certification audits and conducting internal audits across departments.
• You know how to investigate root causes, define effective corrective actions, and verify that they resolve the underlying issues.
• You understand Bulgarian labour, health and safety, and environmental legislation and how it applies in practice.
• You take a pragmatic, hands-on approach and communicate clearly with everyone from production teams to senior management.
