Quality Manager

GNS North America delivers advanced metalworking solutions for automotive and industrial customers, including stamping, welding, laser cutting, assembly, and in-house tool and die capabilities. We are looking for a hands-on Quality Manager who can lead quality systems, strengthen customer and supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Position Summary
As Quality Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day internal and external quality functions for the organization. This role is responsible for maintaining quality systems, addressing customer and supplier quality concerns, supporting production teams, and leading continuous improvement efforts that improve performance, reduce risk, and strengthen customer confidence.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will be expected to perform with a high standard of quality, communicate effectively with internal and external partners, and continually identify ways to improve processes, procedures, and results.
- Serve as the primary quality liaison between the company and its customers.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead quality assurance programs that support consistent production to established standards.
- Establish, maintain, and improve quality assurance programs, procedures, controls, and documentation.
- Lead corrective action activities by reviewing concerns, reporting findings, recommending solutions, and following through on implementation.
- Manage internal quality functions, including floor support, product sampling, rework, final inspection, gage control, and statistical process control.
- Ensure products meet or exceed company, customer, and applicable quality standards.
- Oversee supplier auditing, qualification, and quality performance for new and existing suppliers.
- Advise on inspection and testing procedures for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process work, and finished products.
- Manage and support the Quality Management System, including compliance with applicable IATF 16949 requirements.
- Document quality system activities and provide clear, timely status updates to management and production support teams.
- Collaborate with managers, production teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality questions, requirements, and concerns.
- Track, analyze, update, and communicate quality metrics to leadership, supervision, and floor support teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation across the organization.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred; minimum of five years of related quality experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Background with ISO, TS 16949, or IATF 16949 quality systems.
- Working knowledge of SPC, gage calibration methodologies, GD&T, and CMM technology.
