Quality Manager
About the role
The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the dailyoperations of the quality department, ensuring the implementation of thecompany's product quality standards and the Quality Management System (QMS).The role focuses on achieving departmental performance targets througheffective leadership, continuous improvement of quality processes, and ensuringcustomer satisfaction through reliable product delivery.
Job Responsibilities
1. Quality Strategy & Governance
- Define plant quality objectives, KPIs, and improvement roadmap.
- Lead management reviews and report quality performance to senior leadership.
- Establish quality policies, procedures, and governance structure.
2. Production Quality Assurance
- Ensure robust control of incoming, in-process, and final product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitor production quality metrics including yield, defect rates, scrap, and rework.
- Lead disposition and investigation of non-conforming products and ensure effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve process capability and product reliability.
- Oversee measurement system capability (MSA), metrology control, and calibration governance to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with regulatory and customer standards.
3. Department Management
- Daily management, evaluation, and skill enhancement of quality inspectors. Statistical analysis of the accuracy and timeliness of product inspections conducted by quality inspectors.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure product inspections are completed on time, within quality standards, and in the required quantities.
- Provide guidance to quality inspectors to enhance their skills and ensure the accuracy of product inspections.
4. Data Analysis and Quality Improvement
- Analyze quality data statistics to improve management systems and processes.
- Analyze inspection data; optimize inspection processes and methods based on product quality conditions.
- Collaborate with production engineering, production, and planning departments to continuously improve product quality levels.
- Guide to quality inspectors to enhance their inspection capabilities to ensure the accuracy and consistency of inspection results.
5. Audit & Compliance
- Ensure factory compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Maintain readiness for customer and certification audits.
6. Support supplier quality
- Execute incoming quality control and material inspection processes.
- Escalate supplier issues to SQE and support investigation.
- Implement containment actions for supplier-related defect in production.
7. Support customer quality
- Support CQE in investigating customer complaints and quality incidents.
- Provide factory data, failure analysis, and corrective actions for customer issues.
- Implement corrective actions in production to prevent recurrence.
8. Quality Organization Leadership
- Lead, develop, and mentor quality assurance and quality control team.
- Build a strong quality culture across the organization, promoting ownership and accountability for product quality.
- Provide training and guidance on quality methodologies, problem solving tools, and best practices.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or Management. Strong English writing and communication skills are preferred
- At least 2–5 years of experience in quality management, with a proven track record in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge: Deep familiarity with automotive industry standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA 6.3, and the Five Tools
- Skills: Proficient in the use of quality tools (QC seven tools, etc.) and lean production concepts. Internal auditor certification for IATF 16949/ISO 14001 is highly desirable
- Exceptional organizational coordination, achievement-oriented mindset, teamwork spirit, and high stress tolerance
- Travel required
