Quality Manager

Role Summary

The Quality Manager leads the quality function and a small team, owning the quality management system, audits, and corrective actions. This is a hands-on role: you will work directly with data, prepare quality reports for management, and act as the main quality contact for customers and suppliers when required.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead and develop a small quality team, setting priorities and providing day-to-day guidance

● Maintain and improve the quality management system (ISO 9001), including procedures, work instructions, and document control

● Plan and conduct internal audits, and support customer and external audits through to closure of findings

● Lead investigations ofnon-conformances and customer complaints, driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)

● Collect, analyze, and trend quality data (e.g., defect rates, yield, returns, audit results) and present clear reports to management

● Perform hands-on inspections, verification, and process checks where needed

● Act as the quality point of contact for customers, handling complaints, audit requests, and quality reviews as required

● Evaluate and monitor suppliers, conduct supplier audits, and follow up on supplier corrective actions

● Work with production and engineering to prevent recurring issues and drive continuous improvement

● Provide quality and compliance training to technicians and operators

Requirements

● Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field

● 3–5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing, semiconductor, or cleanroom environments

● Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis, SPC); internal auditor certification preferred

● Comfortable handling data in Excel (or similar tools) and writing clear, concise reports

● Hands-on and practical, with the ability to work on the floor as well as lead a small team

● Good communication skills for dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
